St. Thomas Virgin Islands (Margaritaville Vacation Club by Wyndham - St. Thomas)

Each destination we travel to grips a piece of our heart and keeps it forever.  The feeling of euphoria and the intense yearning to go back are indicative of the intimacy travel can bring.

Even if just for the moment, each destination will change you. The change, explosive at first, may fade as we return to normal life and mundane routine. If we overlook our emotions and suppress our new outlook, the results will quickly diminish. Given the opportunity to grow, our new, refined versions of ourselves will take root. It's when we don't allow ourselves permission to evaluate these feelings that we fail to recognize the impact the destination once had on us.

The difference from those who travel and travel enthusiasts, is that enthusiasts lean into those small changes. They allow themselves to love a little bit deeper. They recognize the level of intimacy each destination brings and act as if they never even left. Their heart pieces have not been left behind, as the enthusiast remains with them. Rather than experiencing post-travel mourn, they remain elated- completely immersed with the experience the trip continues to bring.
